Ca’ D’Gal is an historic winery, built on the hills of Valdivilla, a small village of Santo Stefano Belbo (Cuneo), in the heart of the Moscato d’Asti terroir. Eight hectares of vineyards, up to 70 years old, white and light soils, rich in sand, facing south.
A centuries-long tradition that has been able to combine elements of the past, such as ageing the wine in sand boxes, and courageous choices, giving the wines unique notes for the richness of their olfactory and taste components.
The company’s first label dates back to 1990, when Alessandro Boido took over the reins of the winery that already belonged to his great-grandfather, Giuseppe Gallo (hence the name Ca’ D’Gal – House of the Rooster in Piedmontese), who had been making wine since the early 1900s.
Today, the family is expanding and finds in the person of Alessandro Varagnolo the new heir of Ca’ D’Gal,
who together with Alessandro Boido will continue to write a history made up of work, attention and passion for a unique product: Moscato di Ca’ D’Gal.
