Cascina Pian d’Or was established with the aim of cultivating, producing and enhancing Moscato d’Asti. Since the early 1900s, the Barbero family has worked the vineyards present in the Mango area, following the canons of tradition.
At the beginning of the 1990s, Valter decided to turn the company around, and his intent was noble and precise: to transform Moscato d’Asti grapes into wine in order to enhance the product. A very clear working philosophy is thus proposed: to make the freshness and sweetness of a unique fruit, the Moscato bunch, appreciated in the glass.
A demanding challenge that Valter carries on with the ancient tenacity of the work linked to tradition in the vineyard, which finds its maximum expression in the cellar, during the product transformation phases: the cold and microfiltration keep unaltered the aromas of the wine that preserves the freshness of a freshly harvested bunch.
Microclimate, territory, tradition, technology: in a glass of Moscato d’Asti Pian d’Or there is all this, there is a bunch of a unique grape. Valter Barbero succeeds, and now his wine is appreciated in the international market, and finds its best admirers in U.S. enthusiasts.
